GPS Impact is hiring a full-time Senior Advocacy and Mobilization Strategist to lead the email, texting, and advertising programs for our national advocacy clients. This position can be remote (pending location approval) or based in one of our physical office locations of Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Serve as client lead and senior strategist for several national advocacy clients and work alongside other client leads, managers, and other departments to develop digital strategies that maximize our clients’ online fundraising and engagement
  • Work with clients to develop strategy and voice that uniquely positions them to reach their goals
  • Help candidates and causes activate their base of supporters by writing engaging email content that contributes to advocacy and fundraising goals
  • Produce creative and innovative social media content
  • Draft compelling advertising copy for Google Search ads, Facebook ads, display ads, and more
  • Analyze metrics and report on program performance, best practices, and test results
  • Code (using basic HTML), produce, target and test email communications
  • Report on program performance and serve as a client point of contact
  • Help elect Democrats and support progressive causes nationwide

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least three cycles of experience working with a political campaign or progressive organization in a digital or fundraising role
  • Experience writing and managing digital fundraising content for a political campaign or non-profit organization
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal oversight
  • Experience executing a goal-oriented digital communication and/or fundraising plan
  • Willingness to learn on the job
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A sense of how to tell a story
  • Enthusiasm for progressive politics and working to elect more Democrats across the country
  • Ability to thrive in a constantly changing, often unpredictable, and sometimes fast-paced environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with any of the following CRMs: NGP, BSD, Action Network, or NationBuilder
  • Knowledge of basic HTML 
  • Experience working with a political campaign or progressive organization 
  • Familiarity with political and fundraising best practices

This position is part of the collective bargaining unit (CBU) organized under Teamsters Local 696 and is a full-time, exempt position with a base salary of $75,000 annually. GPS Impact offers a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), and paid time off.
